Hi there, it’s Dara again! 👋
Welcome to October!
October means three months left to close the year out the way you planned it in January. While some of us are ahead of schedule, some of us are not, and that’s fine too.
For us at Lendsqr, we’ve spent the last few weeks building and doing things that should make the next couple of months easier, starting with making Adjutor, our API service, available in the admin console. Talk about ease, am I right?
In this month’s edition, you’ll find everything we’ve shipped, what’s gotten better, what’s coming in the next issue, and what else Lendsqr has been up to.
What’s new in October?
✔️Giving admins more control over 2FA resets
Switching your devices doesn’t have to be a source of worry. Whether your work device goes missing, gets stolen, or for some reason you lose access to your 2FA device, you don’t need to fret.
Super admins can now reset 2FA codes for other admins in the same organization. So you no longer need to reach out to our support team when an admin loses their 2FA recovery codes.

✔️Your APIs are now in your Admin console
Everything about Lendsqr is all in one place. And we did that just for you.
If you’re a developer using just our API services or you’re using the full admin suite, all of that can now be found on our Admin console.
We made it easier for you to manage your APIs and access all your Lendsqr tools all in one place at the same time.Â
In other words, no more leaving the admin console when you need API services.

✔️An easier way to plan recoveries on your Admin console
Every lender at some point worries about how to track and recover bad loans before they affect their loan book.
You shouldn’t be a Lendsqr lender and have those worries, too.
So, we added a new recovery module to your Admin Console. Right there, without doing any special calculations or brain juggling, you can see every past-due loan with its days past due, so loan officers can act on delinquent loans before they escalate. Â

✔️A new layer of protection for your loans with Casava
A borrower could pass away while they still have an outstanding loan, leaving you with an unpaid balance and an estate that may take time to recover from. Or, in some cases, a borrower has the ability to repay but simply chooses not to.
Pecunia already supports MyCover AI as an insurance provider for our Nigerian lenders. If you’re one, with this update, you can also select Casava as your insurance provider and assign its plans to your loan products.

What’s been made better?
✔️A better way to validate Next of Kin phone number
Do you have borrowers who sometimes use their own phone numbers as their next-of-kin numbers? We understand the struggle.
You’re calling who you assume to be their next of kin, only to find out it’s them.
We’ve made it impossible for them to do so now. With our validation endpoint for entering next-of-kin details (phone number), the same number cannot be used more than once. And Next of Kin’s number can’t be the same as your customer’s number.

✔️Stay on top of loan activity on your Admin console
We don’t want you to always have to rely on manual and external reviews to know what’s up with your borrowers, money, and transactions.
So we extended our admin console notifications to also include an events notifications tab. From there, you can see the latest updates on activity from admins in your organization.

✔️One place for all your documents
Documents are part of almost every lending process, but managing them shouldn’t mean jumping between different screens and trying to keep track of what was signed where.
That’s why we’re introducing a new document service that brings everything into one place.
You can now generate documents, send them to the right people, and collect signatures through one system.
And because we know keeping track of what happened matters too, the service also gives you an audit trail of document activity.

What else has Lendsqr been up to?
✔️Our security standards are now ISO 27001 certified
We’ve just completed our ISO 27001 certification. If you haven’t come across the standard before, it’s the benchmark that global banks, regulators, and enterprise partners use to judge whether a company takes information security seriously.
It covers how we store data, how we control access to it, how we respond when something goes wrong, and how often we test all of it.
For you, this means the platform you run your lending operations on has been independently checked against a standard your own risk and compliance teams likely already recognize.

✔️AI in embedded finance
Our Head of Enterprise, Grace Effiom, joined the Curacel conversation on AI in embedded finance at the AI Compass 2026.Â
The conversations centered around how AI can be used, ethically, of course, in financial services to make the best possible experience for both service providers and users.
Grace speaks a lot about lending and how we use AI at Lendsqr.Â
If this is a conversation you’re interested in, you can catch the full scope on YouTube.

What to expect in the next issue?
Meet your borrowers on WhatsApp, where they are
As of 2026, over 3 billion people worldwide use WhatsApp monthly. Your borrowers are part of that number. So it’s only right that we help you bring your services to an app they’re already on.
No long login processes caused by network delay, and confusion for your less tech-savvy customers.Â
No need to thank us. As we promised at the beginning of this issue, we’re working hard to make the next couple of months spectacular for you and your borrowers.
That’s everything for this issue. If there’s a feature you want us to explain in more depth, or something you’re stuck on, reply to this email. Dara actually reads these.
See you in November.
