June 19, 2025 | Monrovia, Liberia – Lendsqr, a leading Lending-as-a-Service (LaaS) company focused on making credit delivery easier and more inclusive, is officially launching in Liberia. As part of this expansion, the company is introducing Lendsqr for Non-Profit: a version of its digital lending platform made available at no cost to eligible non-profits and development finance institutions (DFIs) that are supporting communities with access to affordable credit.
In Liberia, many organizations are already working hard to provide low-interest or zero-interest loans to farmers, small traders, cooperatives, and informal entrepreneurs. But running these credit programs without reliable technology often leads to manual processes, inefficiencies, and difficulty scaling. Lendsqr is offering its technology to remove that barrier.
“At Lendsqr, we believe that those doing the real work of financial inclusion shouldn’t be stuck without the right tools,” said Adedeji Olowe, CEO of Lendsqr. “If you’re helping market women, small businesses, or youth-led programmes with loans, you shouldn’t have to spend heavily on software. We’ve had support when we needed it, and this is our way of paying it forward.”
Lendsqr itself was supported in its early days by partners like Microsoft, Google, and AWS, who waived infrastructure costs to help the company grow. Grants and backing from the Federal Government of Nigeria and partners like OnePipe also played a key role. That early support gave Lendsqr the foundation to scale and build sustainably and now, the same kind of support is being extended to others.
Lendsqr for Non-Profit includes everything needed to manage a lending program: borrower onboarding, loan applications, repayment tracking, credit decisions, and full portfolio management. It also works for organizations serving communities that aren’t fully online, with features like guarantor-based lending, equity contributions, and offline loan processing.
“This is not a watered-down version,” Olowe said. “It’s the same system used by commercial lenders, but now available to organizations doing impact work.”
The first non-profit to access the platform is Nigeria’s FATE Foundation, established by GTBank’s co-founder Fola Adeola which has supported thousands of small businesses through training, mentorship, and affordable credit. Lendsqr now powers their lending operations and is ready to support Liberian organizations doing similar work.
Non-profits and DFIs in Liberia that are interested in using the platform can apply through an open review process. Those accepted will receive access to the platform at no cost, including full onboarding and support.
